When you come to see the retina specialists at Rocky Mount Eye P.A., you should expect your visit to take about 3 hours. Our highly trained technicians may perform multiple tests, which include: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Flourescein Angiography (FA), and Fundus Photos. If treatment is required, patients are typically treated in the office on the same day as their appointment. Those patients requiring surgical procedures can typically be seen both pre and post operatively in our office. However the surgery itself will be performed at UNC-Chapel Hill. Retina surgery is an outpatient procedure and generally no overnight stay in the hospital is required.
